Our miracle-filled lives

Do you realize what a miracle it is that you actively seek God and His way of life and love?  Have you considered that it took the miraculous, spiritual intervention of God the Holy Spirit to change your mind into one that was no longer hostile towards God?

Scripture says that without faith, it is impossible to please God.  Ever wonder why?  Faith is a fruit of the spirit and a gift from God.  Faith is spiritual evidence that God is in our lives and in our very being.

Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Faith is our first conscious God-connection.  We believe because God has caused us and gifted us to be able to do so.  The same is true of God’s love.  Have you noticed that you have grown in spiritual love since God called you and got your attention?  That’s God working in you, and it’s another miracle.

Miracles transcend the physical and are the spiritual at work in the physical realm.  Miracles cause the physically impossible to happen.  Peter walked on water.  People are healed from so-called incurable diseases.  Bones appear in the body where there were none before.  People who were unable to walk began to walk.  Miracles are spiritual evidence that God is working in your life and the lives of others.

Matthew 14:29 (NIV)

29 “Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

Acts 3:5-7

New International Version (NIV)

So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.

Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.

Matthew 9:18, 23-25 (NIV)

18 While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.” 23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes,24 he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.

Let’s Pray

Father God, thanks for gifting those of us that are Yours spiritually with all that we need to seek You and your way of life.  Thanks for helping us to continually, regularly turn to You to request the physically impossible to happen if it be Your will and plan to do so in our lives.  Thanks for the changes that bless our understanding and spiritual growth.  Thanks for the intervention in our bodies and life situations to make all things work for the good because You know we love You.  Thanks for blessing us with Your love.  Thanks for continuing to bless our lives with those miracles so that we can be and do all that You have for us to be and do while giving You the praise, honor and glory.  In Jesus’ name, amen.

May your life continue to be touched and changed by our miracle-working God.
