Following God’s Lead and You

As a believer, how much do you really follow the lead of God the Holy Spirit as illustrated in the scripture below? Did you know that not following the Spirit’s lead is actually rebellion against God because the Holy Spirit is indeed God? Did you know that God is actively involved in your entire life and that not following His lead can result in your not receiving blessings He has in store for you?

Have you looked at your life and seen missed spiritual opportunities because of your reluctance to follow God’s lead? Have you understood that God’s leading does not have to make sense you you but that He always works things for the good?

Acts 16:6-10
New King James Version (NKJV)

6 Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. 7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. 8 So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.

Let’s pray: Father God, please forgive me if I have not followed the lead of God the Holy Spirit until now. Help me to know how to do that and to recognize God the Holy Spirit in my life. Please grow me and continue to use me however and whenever You want to do so. In Jesus’ name, amen
