Abuse, Jesus and Me

Some grief is so terrible that even tears can’t wash it away.
Francine Rivers

I know I have experienced such great loss in life that if I were to share it with you, you’d think it were fiction. I know the pain and loss that comes with abuse, and tears can’t wash it away. Time moderates the depth of the feelings, but they are still there. What sustains me is knowing that Jesus understands how I feel from personal experience on the cross and that He could transcend the physical and the emotional to grab hold of the spiritual. He is my example. It’s my connection to God and His love that sustains me through all the bad things life throws at me. How about you?
