Sin, Rebellion and You

We all know that sin is doing things that are against the way God created us to live. Did you also know that God sees sin as rebellion? That’s very important for Christians to think and pray about because it could mean the difference between an eternity with God or not.

satan introduced sin into the world when he enticed Eve and Adam to doubt God and act on those doubts. Adam and Eve could have made a different choice and gone to God with their doubts and discuss them with Him instead of doing what seemed right to them. Clearly, they chose their own way (actually satan’s way) as more important than God’s.

Your challenge is this: when you are faced with a choice to follow what seems right to you but that conflicts with the way God wants you to live, what will you do? Will you submit to God’s will in your life no matter what’s going on regardless of the consequences, or will you choose your way, rationalizing that God won’t mind your choice?

Jesus is our example in this and all things. When faced with certain painful death, He cried out to the Father that if there were any other way to please change the situation. We know there was no other way for Him to redeem us, and we know and are grateful that He submitted His will and wishes to God the Father’s will for the situation.

Will you be eternally grateful to Christ for His example or will you be one of the goats? It’s your choice.
