Things God Loves

Have you ever taken scriptures that show what God hates and make Him angry and reverse them to see what God loves? That’s a fun Bible study, and Pastor G and I encourage you to see for yourself.

For instance, take a look at Proverbs 6:16-19.
16 There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Now, reverse it and see what God loves:

verse 17: humility, truth, and justice

verse 18: a mind that thinks about loving projects and a person that is quick to do good

verse 19: a spiritually reliable person who tells the truth and someone who promotes unity

Pastor G and I pray that you discover that you can know God better by learning what He doesn’t like and reversing it to learn what pleases Him. This way, you can be the opposite of those that are ever-learning and not coming to the knowledge of the truth. You can indeed learn about and seek God in this way, and you will not only find Him, you will find more about Him.
